During the North East India Science Fair held from March 19th to 21st at the Regional Science Center, a three-day Amateur Radio Field Demonstration camp took place. Leading the three-member team was Saquib Ahmed – VU3HZW, accompanied by Anup Biswas – VU3GWI & Nabajyoti Majumdar – VU3FHG, who introduced Amateur Radio to young students. The students were captivated by the concept and practical applications of Amateur Radio, especially its role in aiding natural disaster situations in remote areas of North East India.
The team showcased both VHF and HF communication systems, establishing connections with fellow amateurs from West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, as well as neighboring countries such as Nepal and Bangladesh.
